SATURDAY LONG RUN – JAVA ME UP – 9/1

About the Run – This is our long run meet up! We encourage our runners to meet here at 6am on Saturdays to do their individual long runs.

Location – The runners will meet in the parking lot of Java Me Up and we will begin our run from the canals of Valley Ranch that run just behind their building. The canals also connect to the North end of Campion Trail.

Time – The run starts at 6 am, so please arrive 10-15 early.

Pace and Distance – All levels of runners are welcome to join us. We average anywhere from 3 to 20 miles on our long runs. Some do walk/run intervals, and some will run the whole distance. We typically split into different pace groups, all run together, or run individually.

What to bring –

• Water

• Post Run Recovery Snack ( Recommended )

• A good pair of running shoes and comfortable clothes.

• You are also welcome to bring a guest.

Please join our Irving Running Club Evening Runners. This group of runners like to conquer the Campion Trails and Valley Ranch Canals starting from Cimarron Park.

Location – The runners meet in the small parking lot of Cimarron Park on Northeast corner. Additional parking can be found on the Southwest corner of the park.

About the Run – Come celebrate your love for running with the Irving Running Club at Lake Carolyn in Irving TX. After our run, we’ll head over to The Italian Cafe Restaurant and Bar for a meet & greet, food, drinks, and fun. Happy hour drink specials all night for IRC runners!

Host – Marc Blankenship of Parker University will be joining us to explain the benefits of chiropractic care, because efficient recovery is just as important in training as getting the miles in! Also, Cassandra Lemoine of The Gem juice bar will have various cold pressed juices & vegan protein bars for purchase to replenish post-run!

We will also have a secret special offer available to the first 50 runners who RSVP/show up! (Stay tuned for hints!)

Parking – Please be aware of possible construction congestion in the area, be sure to leave with ample time to find us! There are several free parking garages nearby. The largest garage is on West Fork just past the Italian Café with an entrance to the left of the Alesio apartments leasing center. Look for a large sign that says, “Leasing and Retail Parking Entry”. There is also limited street parking on Las Colinas Blvd. Time – The run will start at 6:30pm.

Pace and Distance – All levels of runners are welcome to join us. The distance of the run is self set but the loop around the lake is about 3 miles. Alternate routes are available for longer runs. Some do walk/run intervals, and some will run the whole distance. We typically split into different pace groups, all run together, or will run in loops so no one is left behind.

What to bring – Although hydration is provided, it is highly recommended that you bring water to take with you on the run. Other than water, make sure you have a good pair of running shoes and comfortable clothes. You are also welcome to bring a guest.

Important Note – We constantly have new members join our runs, which is great, but if you plan on joining us please use the RSVP. If you are bringing a guest, please add them as a +1. It gives us a better idea of who you are, how many people there will be, helps us plan in advance, and it also attracts new members.

Dessert Run

We’ve talked about this and talked about this! It’s time we all go! If you like dessert and you like cookie dough, then this is the place for you! You won’t be disappointed – I’ve already been there twice! Let’s carpool from Java Me Up – so meet at 6:30pm.
