This is not an official Irving Running Club Event – A few of us will be running in this race and decided to post it as an event so we can coordinate meeting up together. Anyone is welcome to join us.
Half Marathon Finishers will receive even bigger “Texas-Sized Bling” this year including a huge 4” unique, and two-sided participant race medallion and vie for their name on the coveted “Mayor’s Cup”, put on display in The Colony City Hall after the inaugural 2016 race. We will also award custom trophies to the men and women overall winners and masters winners. Additional awards include custom trophies for all age groups for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place age group winners. There are also 1/4 zip jackets this year, as well as all half marathoners receive The Colony Half Marathon 13.1 sticker to show off your accomplishment.
We will have volunteers directing you to where to park, but the image below will help you visualize the parking set-up. Follow the directions of all volunteers. Anyone not following these directions or parking in areas other than those designated will be towed. It will not be a happy participant who comes back after running a long race to find their car, or the car of their pacer or crew, has been towed away.
10/27/2018 in Stewart Creek Park, 3700 Sparks Rd, The Colony, TX 75056. Gun-time is 8:00 a.m. (4 hour limit). The race is chip timed & the course is USATF certified.
PARKING: Inside the park. Volunteers will direct cars to spaces. Anyone not wanting to wait for rabbits, runners & sweepers to safely clear the park & surrounding area before/after gun-time should exit the park 30 minutes before gun-time or risk significant traffic delays. Safety first!
